Jessica Atkins is a certified birth doula and trainer (DONA), a certified childbirth educator (ICCE), and lactation specialist with home and hospital experience. She has earned undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood Development, and Human Services - Family Studies, graduate programs in Nonprofit Management, and Public Administration. She is currently studying midwifery. Jessica has
published many articles and presented at many conferences and workshops, she has worked for third party reimbursement for doulas, developed and managed several successful doula programs, mentored many new doulas, has been the recipient of a number of awards including Healthy Start, and DONA's prestigious Annie Kennedy award.
She continues her passion for supporting families since 1989 through the childbearing years and beyond. With years of experience and wisdom she gently prepares and guides families through pregnancy and birth using evidence based practice and subtle responsive comfort strategies.
