Doula Services for Your Family
As your Doula I provide experienced, caring support, comfort measures, and guidance through pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. I have a great deal of experience, knowledge and training, and utilize all of my skills and a variety of birth philosophies to provide unwavering support to families. My goal is that each family member perceives their birth experience as an amazing challenge and a satisfying love filled accomplishment to begin their parenting journey with confidence.
Scope of Services
Initially, I will meet you in your home, or elsewhere, so that you can meet me face to face and decide if I am the right fit for you. If you decide that I am the doula for you, we will create a tailored plan for your specific needs including the number of prenatal and postpartum visits you wish to have in preparation for your birth or for new parent education after your birth. These visits ensure you are prepared for the journey of childbirth and parenting. Phone and email contact provide additional support throughout.
Usually that plan includes one to three prenatal visits to build rapport, work together on your vision for your own unique birth experience, and prepare for a healthy, comfortable, and confident birth. I also enjoy meeting your clinical care provider if possible to better build your support team. I will meet you in your home or at the hospital at the onset of labor or when you feel you need my support. I will provide support to you throughout your childbirth experience, and remain by your side until I am no longer needed. I will assist with initiation of breastfeeding and tuck you in before I leave. I prefer to meet again when you are home and your baby is around 4 to 5 days old when I can offer essential support. I can additionally come to your home to provide lactation support,
parent education, and basic screening of newborn and
new-mom wellbeing

- referrals as needs are identified

comfort for labor through your whole birth experience
